Today we were a part of the "Taste of Diversity" at Evans Army Hospital. The event has downsized quite a bit from the last time I attended. The crowds have not diminished, however! There was a consistent line for at least 90 minutes. Several people brought dishes to commemorate Black History Month. There was so much for the folks in attendance to choose from, including Greens, Macaroni and Cheese, Dirty Rice, Pinto Beans, Pigs Feet, Red Velvet Cake, Cupcakes, Peach Cobbler and more. We at Cherry D's were invited by our friends at Sistah's With Swag, who had the most delicious and tender Collard Greens for sampling. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and look forward to our next networking opportunity.
We have been out in the community doing some promoting and connecting with new faces! People react so strongly to a free, unsolicited gift. This month it is our new pens in bright red for potential customers and fans of Cherry D's Comfort Catering and Thighbones Catering. We hope to meet many folks looking for that comfort food fix that only we can provide! Our website is in development, so stay tuned to our blog for news and updates!

BHM and Cherry D's
We just received a call from a friend who will be participating in the "Taste of Diversity" program at Evan's Army Community Hospital on Thursday, February 17,2011.Cherry D's has been invited to join her. How exciting! Now I need to scroll through my mental Rolodex and decide which dish to make to impress those coming by my table for a sample. My famous Macaroni and Cheese, perhaps? Or some Short Ribs and Gravy?
